100,000 square feet
After a tornado destroyed Cooper Farms' existing facility, CME was called to rebuild the food plant's existing 50,000 square feet and add another 25,000 square feet...in just six months. Completing the project quickly and with outstanding quality deepened an already great relationship, and CME was called back to complete two major design-build expansions totaling 100,000 additional square feet at $11.3M. Working with Cooper Farms, CME designed their pilot clean room slicing line. The line used Sinteco Hygenic equipment, stainless steel insulated panels, ucrete flooring, and carefully designed employee and product entry and exit areas to exceed class 10,000 for this pilot line.
CME then prepared the master planning for the next 3 phases of plant expansions with a raw side expansion to the south and east production expansion and a north slicing line addition, all of which were delivered via design-build.
